Note for Induction Cooktops:Note for Induction Cooktops: Sometimes, the induction cooktop magnetic field may interfere with digital thermometers. If there is interference, briefly turn off the induction cooktop to get a digital thermometer reading or use a dial thermometer.
Tip: Meat should be allowed to “rest” for 10 to 15 minutes after it is removed from oven. This allows time for the meat’s internal temperature to stabilize and the juices to redistribute. This will result in a roast that is both juicier and easier to carve.

Why should I allow notification permission?
- The Smart Probe™ Thermometer’s app (CDN-STP212) sends you alerts when your cooking is finished through notifications.
-
How long does the Smart Probe™ battery last?
- A fully charged probe lasts over 24 hours — plenty of time for longer cooking sessions.
-
Why isn’t the temperature showing up for the probe?
-
If your Smart Probe™ is connected in the app but is not displaying any temperature, follow these steps:
- Return the Smart Probe™ to the charging case for 10 seconds and then remove it, checking to see if the LED light flashes blue. The Smart Probe™ will then start sending temperature signals to the app.
- If you still can't see the temperature, restart your phone and ensure your app is updated to the latest version.
If you've followed these steps and the issue persists, please email or call Customer Service.
-
How do I turn my Smart Probe™ Thermometer on and off?
- There is no on/off button on Smart Probe™ Thermometer. To turn it on and connect, take the probe out of the charging case, then put it back in the charging case when you're ready to disconnect and it will automatically turn off after 30 minutes of inactivity.

Can I use my Smart Probe™ for cooking food other than meat?
- We designed the Smart Probe™ Thermometer particularly for cooking meat, so we unfortunately can't guarantee your results if you use the probe in other foods or drinks. It's also worth keeping in mind that if your probe is damaged while being used outside of its intended purpose, this may void your warranty. If you'd like more information, please read the User Manual or 1-Year Limited Warranty.
-
Can I use my Smart Probe™ in a pressure cooker?
- Your Smart Probe™ should not be used in pressure cookers, because the high pressure can force moisture into the probe and damage the circuitry. Even if your probe is not damaged, use in a pressure cooker is outside of the safe operating guidelines and will void the warranty.
-
Why do I have to update my Smart Probe™ Thermometer before doing a cook?
- We want to make sure that the firmware on your Smart Probe™ Thermometer is supported in the version of the app you're using. These firmware updates fix bugs that may cause problems during a cooking session and help your Smart Probe™ Thermometer to operate properly.
